Hundreds of Ubayanons benefited from the recent free eye check up sponsored by the Rotarians.
The medical mission was held at the Ramon Magsaysay gymnasium on October 14.
Rotarian members from Canterbury, Australia screened the patients' vision, with the assistance from the Cataract Foundation of the Philippines, Rotary Club of Bacolod North, Tagbilaran and Ubay chapters through its president Rosalinda Cuyno and members.
Hosting them, Mayor Eutiquio Bernales welcomed them as he observed the whole activity until it wrapped up.
Patients with minor vision problems were advised to wear eyeglasses and sunglasses for protection while some were referred to a specialist based in Tagbilaran for further treatment.
Chair of the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Committee on Health, Councilor Clarita Alesna, together with Dr. Edgardo Ladera, and Dr. Rethi Del Mar and RHU staff also expressed their support to the activity.
After the lunch that the municipal government unit of Ubay had hosted, the team proceeded to Talibon for a similar activity
