The Department of Trade and Industry– Bohol Provincial Office, through the Comprehensive Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (CLEEP), conducted several skills and entrepreneurial trainings for displaced and retrenched workers, out-of-school-youth (OSY), housewives, students and unemployed residents of Tagbilaran City and nearby municipalities.
At least 87 participants had availed of the skills trainings on bartending held last July 14 at JJ's Seafood Village, on beadworks last July 24 at the Island City Mall Activity Center, and on meat-processing last July 31 at the Bohol Food Packaging Center in Dao District.
Moreover, a two-day business plan writeshop was conducted last July 2-3 at Wregent Plaza Hotel with 30 pre-screened business development service (BDS) providers.
An entrepreneurial seminar with the theme, "Entrepreneurial Awareness: Taking the First Step to Success", was also held last July 28 at CVSCAFT-TCC Audio Visual Hall where 115 entrepreneurship students of CVSCAFT-Tagbilaran City participated.
