Bohol Ubi Powder

JAGNA.- This town's famous ubi powder was awarded recently as Best FITS Product in the search for outstanding performance by the different Farmers' Information and Technology Services (FITS) centers at the Bohol Cultural Center in Tagbilaran City. 

Although a novel product, Jagna's ubi powder has already established and has the potential to expand share in the market. 

With appropriate product packaging and a little of aesthetic presentation such as design and proper labels, it added value to the product thus enhancing its price and profitability. 
 
The Techno Gabay Awards was aimed to encourage the different FITS centers to raise the level of their performance as it likewise enhanced the functionality of all FITS centers in Bohol and improved the level of commitment of the FITS center.  

It was also expected that the search would increase awareness of the public on the services of the FITS center and its functions.
 
The Provincial Techno Gabay Steering Committee conducted three levels of evaluation.  

The first one was led by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist Bohol, which is hosting the Provincial FITS (ProFITS) while the second group was headed by the Philippine Carabao Center in Ubay which is hosting the FITS at Ubay Agri Park.  

The Central Visayas State College of Agriculture, Forestry and Technology (CVSCAFT), which is also hosting a FITS center in their Bilar Campus, is in charge of the third group.  

Although the ProFITS and FITS at Ubay Agri Park and CVSCAFT in Bilar are not part of the search representatives from PCARRD and the Central Visayas-Consortium for Integrated Regional Research and Development are helping the three teams of evaluators in the conduct of the search. 
 
The award inclusive of P40,000.00 cash and a certificate was received by Jagna Municipal Agriculture Officer Camilo Rizano in behalf of Mayor Exuperio Lloren who was on official business in Manila at that time.

In fact, nagpapautang pa siya ni Mom, which she paid when she sold her teaching materials to the new teachers. I suggest that the provincial and city governments should honor Ong Guat with a posthumous award in recognition of his efforts to be the founder of a business empire in Bohol, which has presently employed thousands of Boholanos presently. About Fr. Josemaria Salutan Luengo

Josemaria Salutan Luengo can bid their last farewell on Tuesday before he will be laid to rest at the Tubigon Catholic Cemetery after a requiem mass at 9 a.m. at the St. Isidore Parich Church in Tubigon, Bohol  . Fr. Luengo, who had been an inspiration to many, passed away last August 29, due to complications following a stroke in 2004.  It maybe recalled that sometime in 2000, Fr. Luengo undergone a heart by-pass operation in the United States. Some of his greatest legacies of being a priest, educator, and philanthropist were the establishments of Mater Dei College and Salus Institute of Technology in Cabulijan, Tubigon, Bohol.  He also supported the studies of some deserving youth who later became priests, CPAs, mentors, engineers and other professionals. Bohol Gov Flies to South Korea

Governor Erico Aumentado will leave for South Korea Tuesday to attend groundbreaking ceremonies for the pilot algae bio-ethanol processing plant in Goheung County , and to meet with senior economic ministers in Seoul to discuss the mega projects for Bohol proposed for Official Development Assistance (ODA) funding.
