Conflict Management Seminar in Bohol Island

The Guidance Center of Bohol Wisdom School sponsored a Conflict Management Seminar for teachers as part of their guidance program last August 12, 2009. The seminar which was held at the school's audio-visual room was opened with an invocation led by Ms. Analene Palingkod. The teaching staff was formally welcomed by the College Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Lourella Amolato and the Statement of Purpose given by the High School Guidance Counselor, Ms. Ma. Elvira Timbal.

The seminar that transpired gave an opportunity for each and everyone to sort things out within them that was basic to handling people under their care as Mrs. Christine Guliman, School's Psychometrician, journeyed with everyone in the surfing session.

Inputs on the different conflict management styles were also discussed and emphasized by Ms. Timbal while Tips on Conflict Management and Dealings with Irate Parents were handled by Mrs. Amolato, College Guidance Counselor and Mrs. Jennyflor Caracut, Grade School Department Guidance Counselor respectively.

As BWS takes care of the children entrusted to them and as it aims to serve the bigger community not only in Bohol but the whole nation, it hopes to serve them best by equipping its workforce with the best of who they can be, a true Christian.

Antonio Ong Guat, the founder of Bohol Quality Store

From Sunday Post   I pay my sincerest condolences to Antonio Ong Guat, the founder of Bohol Quality Store . My family especially my late Mom owed a lot of gratitude to him. Little is known of the fact that my Mom as a school teacher, was making school teaching charts with her crude rubber printing set. I used to accompany her to Tagbilaran to buy her supplies at Bohol Quality Store, and bought her supplies direct from Ong Guat. Suki niya si Ong Guat to the point that he would attend to her when she goes to the store. In fact, nagpapautang pa siya ni Mom, which she paid when she sold her teaching materials to the new teachers. I suggest that the provincial and city governments should honor Ong Guat with a posthumous award in recognition of his efforts to be the founder of a business empire in Bohol, which has presently employed thousands of Boholanos presently. I think everybody agrees that his store sparked business to its fullest heights today. Fred Ong and his wife Babs Gonzaga we
